Matt's 29th Birthday

Matt got several days of celebration this year....on Monday we had all the comfort

foods that he requested....like meatloaf, corn, crescent rolls, and mac and cheese...all homemade of course. I realize that I have said that I'm trying to lose a few pounds....but this is what he wanted! Then on Tuesday(his actual birthday) Blaise gave him that great baseball game(Matt was very proud....and has been working with him all spring), Wednesday we opened presents(not a whole lot this year since we were just getting back from vacation:() and I made this decadent delicious from scratch German Chocolate cake.....yumm yummm! It was fun to make and one of the best cakes that I have ever made!!!!!

One Baseball Game to Remember

This particular game will remain fresh on our minds probably forever...and it goes to show what a dependable little guy Blaise is. Here it goes....

It was the bottom of the last inning and we were up to bat....we had two outs, the bases were loaded, and Blaise was up to bat. He managed to work his way up to a full count.....and then bammmmm he hit it hard, right over the first baseman's head and way out into the outfield. We got everyone in accept Blaise because his coach ran up and lifted him into the air. They gave him the game ball.....we all will remember this for a long long time!

Family Photo shoot

This one is a tradition that goes back to the beginning of our Outer Banks adventures!

Last day on the beach

Well the last day came soooo quickly! We did get a partly sunny day finally......unfortunatly Matt was sooo crispy that he couldn't join us. The water was far too cold to go in so we built a sandcastle!
