July Fourth Family Traditions

I am all about family traditions....I also LOVE Independence Day! I MAKE(but they love it right now) everyone wear the same shirts(or close to it) and be as patriotic as a person can be! This year I tye-dyed white T-shirts...and added crystals to the girls. I also dyed the kids hair blue and red...and made Aidan hair ribbons...as well as a few other little accessories.Aidan and I also get matching sandals every year(luckily my feet are small enough to fit into kids sizes in sandals...in shoes they are too fat:)And we finished off the day with Red, White and Crew....and a little tail-gating to start!

So as we all watch fireworks and eat all-american food let's be mindful of what it really means to be an American!

Memorial Day

Memorial day is a day to be spent with family.....giving thanks to those who lost their life to protact our freedom, and to bring freedom to families in other nations. This Memorial Day we went to my Mom's house and had a little too much fabulous food....ribs, brats, potato salad, corn etc. The kids got to go for a walk around the property, went on a boat ride on the pond, and we played a game of catch-phrase...girl's always win of course. I am very thankful for quiet, beautiful days like these......

Mother's Day 2009

I love being pampered...this Mother's Day I was showered with many gifts from Matt and my kids. Aidan made me a beautiful jewelry box, and Blaise gave me coupons to use when I don't feel like doing the dishes or the laundry. These are the gifts that I will remember most as my children get older! We also had Sarah and Kailey over for a phenomenal dinner...prepared by Matt. He made a marinated pork loin on the grill that was absolutely perfect! The weather was nice, and the company was great! Here are a few of the gifts that we given to me by my kids!

Aidan...the story behind the teapot is that in our house we like to talk to each other in bad foreign accents...Aidan is good at the English accent and she is always asking us if we would like a spot of tea!!!! The second one is a book that Aidan had been working on forever....
