Sewing takes practice

Matt bought me my first sewing machine for Christmas....since then I have made curtains, many tablecloths and runners, and now I can say that I have sewn my first dresses. Of course they were not for me, but for my little Aidan. It was a really easy design and the material comes prepared somewhat for you, but I was very proud and Aidan loves the dresses.I have no formal training, and I don't even know what the stitches are called so I am teaching myself as I go....here is a photo shoot of the two dresses that I made...the first one is black with little cherries on it...I love anything that has cherries on it! The hardest part was figuring out how to put the lace trim on.
