Emerson Ice Cream Social

Aidan had the opportunity to perform at the Emerson Ice Cream Social, which is a magnet school in Westerville. She had lots of fun...and of course I had my camera in tow.

Dance....dance....dance

Aidan is very happy to be back at dance, we are also happy that she can work off some of that extra seven year old energy there. This will be her first year in competitive dance with a beginning program that they call Step One. Of course this is all she can talk about....she has three teachers this year...

Westerville Fourth of July Parade

Aidan passed out candy for Generations PAC in the Westerville parade....I ended up walking with them and being a human corral for the kids the little kids, it was a lot of work but worth it. Blaise and Matt were at the WYBSL All-star game and homerun derby.

Dancing at Worthington Christian Village

The company dancers were in Toledo competing in nationals so the younger dancers were able to step in and perform for the residents at Worthington Christian Village. They loved it and Aidan had fun too!

Generations PAC Recital 2009

What a weekend....I would do it all over again!!!! Aidan tranformed this year, no longer shy and timid, she performed to the best of her ability! Unfortunately we were both sick with colds...but I still would not have changed a thing! I will never forget this recital...it was only her second one, but she was unforgettable.

Aidan's first performance was her Ballet routine...the song was "Second Star to the Right" a Disney Jiminy Crickett tune. This is a picture of Aidan waiting with her friend Ella.








Aidan's second performance was for tap...the song was Uptown Girl by Billy Joel!!! This was my favorite! The picture was taken right after the show... The next few pics I took after the show, I loved them all I couldn't pick!

On Saturday Aidan was back at South for her last routine....it was her Jazz routine to the Flintstones. Hannah and Aidan






The whole family came out this weekend to see Aidan's recital....afterwards Grandma took us to the Cheesecake Factory for a special dinner.

Thank you again to Ms.Nicole for all of the dedicated instruction, and the incredible amount of time given to all of the children at Generations. We are really excited for next year....

Aidan's First Dance Recital....

was a disaster! At the dress rehersal she cried and cried....her make-up was streaming down her pudgy little face and they had to carry her onto the stage. At the recital she at least walked onto the stage without doing much of anything else....but she looked sooooo cute, that it was worth the expensive costume to see her out there. What a differance four years can make!

Generations PAC Dress Rehersal 2009

I can't believe that it is here already.....which means that the end of another school year is right around the corner. Aidan had her dress rehearsal this weekend, which was sooooo exciting for both of us. It was not too many years ago that I was engrossed in the excitement of my own dance recitals. The weekend began when I volunteered to help with hair and makeup which was very very fun! Aidan danced Jazz, Ballet, and Tap this year so we had three costume changes...i think that she felt like a superstar....she also loved seeing all of the big girls dancing. Here is a picture of Aidan and her friend from school Savannah... One thing that I thought was neat was that the recital is at the high school that I graduated from, Westerville South! So getting her ready in the same places that I have walked so many times in the past was emotional!
