Jockey's Ridge is the largest sand dune on the east coast.... Justin and I ran down these steep slopes too many times to count when we were kids. This was the first year that I have taken my kids there to be little daredevils all their own. You can see both sides of the island from the top of the ridge! 
Time to make the leap...it is like a rite of passage in our family!

Favorite vacation activity....reading a great book!
The weather was just not that great this year....it was overcast, windy as heck on the beach, and not that warm! One day Matt decided to take the kids down to the beach to fly a kite....it ended up being a little too blustery and I had to climb up a sand dune(which is illegal) to get the kite back! 
Blaise has always been a child that loves to swim....he loves the ocean so much that when he was little we had to have a life-jacket on him just so that he could play in the waves...no fear!
